Dr. Alan R. Heller is a graduate of the University of Maryland – College Park with a degree (B.A.) in Government and
Politics. He earned his dental degree (D.D.S.) from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry where he was awarded special citations for both orthodontics and periodontics. Dr. Heller received his
post-doctorate orthodontic specialty training and his Master's of Science (M.S.) degree from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. Dr.
Heller has been practicing orthodontics exclusively for over ten years in Maryland since completing his specialty training. He teaches classes for the Southern Maryland Dental Society of which he is a
member. Dr. Heller is also Chairman of the Programs Committee and a member of the Executive Committee of the Southern Maryland Dental Society. He is a strong proponent of participating in
organized dentistry and maintains active membership in the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists, Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Maryland State Dental
Association, and the American Dental Association. In addition, Dr. Heller is a member of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, Metro II Study Club, and the Greater Washington Dental Science Club, all of which
provide Dr. Heller with continuing education on a regular basis and an opportunity to interact with many of the top dental professionals in the area.Dr. Heller and his wife Sheri have four children, Max,
Mitchell, Toby, and Jaclyn. When not busy with family activities, Dr. Heller enjoys coaching and playing ice hockey and an occasional round of golf. |
